Star Chef's Michelin Starred Menu :) - June 2013
Only gonna give him two stars out of the possible three, in the hope this'll encourage him to keep going for a full house Icon_wink - after all, 6 winners (20/1, 12/1, 3/1, 6/4, 6/4, 2/9), two seconds (20/1, 7/1) and an unplaced from 9 selections isn't all that it could be, right? Icon_biggrin

As his ongoing thread is 10 pages long to date, this is just a copy of the relevant posts. Well done Chef, truly outstanding tipping by a galloping gourmet Cup icon_pray - you made some serious dosh here for yourself and others Dessie

Monday 24th June 2013 - 10 selections 6 winners - 2 seconds - 1 unpl - 1 n/r

Chef's menu

Chepstow
2.30 Burnham won 3/1
Trainer says, “She won a h’cap at Windsor last year over 1m2f but has subsequently run well without success over further, so I may drop her back next time. She is a fun horse who has found her level and will surely win again.”

4.00 Mandys Boy - n/r
£5 win (no market odds yet) Not in the stable tours but given as a winner without a penalty by Kieran Fallon as the horse never got a clear run in his last two races

4.30 Secret Rebel – won 6/4
Interesting Hannon has two runners in the race but Richard Hughes riding this for Sylvester Kirk – Not sure it’s a bet yet but may edit later.

Windsor
6.40 Hiking won 12/1
£5 win (e/way if 5/1 or bigger) trainer says, “She is by First Defence, whose first crop resulted in 18 winners including Dundonnell, and her dam is a half-sister to Tantina, the dam of City Scape and Bated Breath. Her half-sister Top Trail has been disappointing, but she is going well and looks more talented.”

6.40 Dream Silka - unpl
£1 e/way – trainer says “A lovely colt who has shown up well and is ready to go but he is sure to benefit from his debut.”

7.10 Star Pearl - won 2/9
£5 Win – not in the tours but gave the very well fancied Odeliz a winner from the stable tours one hell of a race L/T/O

7.40 OGBOURNE DOWNS 14/1 £2 e/way - won 20/1

Trainer says, "Very backward last year but it wasn't a surprise when he won at 33/1 as he's been working well with MARKET TOWN, we'll probably go for a h'cap next." Ran in a h'cap but was PU and dismounted quickly as if something was wrong. If all is ok and we can still believe he's working well with Market Town the he should piss this. So worth a speculative small e/way possible value bet.

8.10 Robot Boy won 6/4
£5 win He was always going to be a better 3yo and we will find a proper flat track for him as I still retain plenty of faith in him.”

8.40 GAELIC ICE £3 e/way 2nd 7/1
4 b f Iceman - Gaelic Lime.
Maiden with ability, moved from seven furlongs to 10 furlongs latest of five runs and second in handicaps off 58 and finished eight lengths seventh of 13 to Sehnsucht at Leicester May 27.
"She caught every bug going when she came last season and I couldn't get her right. After running well in a maiden she sprained a joint then came back this season and ran well in a ladies race at Salisbury so we quietly fancied her at Leicester last time but we should have made more use of her. I think the straighter mile at Salisbury will suit her better although she should stay 10 furlongs. She'll win a little race."

9.10 Yul Finegold - 2nd 20/1
£2 e/way – in the stable tours as the apple of the trainers eye but I noted when l/t/o he was a big old one-paced galloper who should go over hurdles, so this drop in grade and up in trip may suit and a bit of rain may help.

and i'm over the moon.

CHEERS CHEF. m8

Great stuff cliff - I actually didn't do Dream Silka as he was way too short considering trainer said he'd come on for the run but as the price of Hiking kept lengthening I kept backing it with a place bet to cover stakes - same with Ogbourne Downs - he kept lengthening and I kept backing with a place to cover stakes - I took over £550 on those two alone - my first bet in the morning was Hiking at 5.9 but went in 5 more times at 16.0 to 18.0 in £2's and £3's same with Ogbourne Downs took 13.0 in morning and kept going in again as odds got above 26.0. Making a withdrawal today to pay for my holiday in September to Paphos where my son is getting married.
